Robert E. Underwood, Jr. was born January 21, 1931 in Pennsylvania. He attended St. Joseph's College and the University of Illinois. He authored the Network News column in the NAEB newsletter. Later, Underwood worked as the assistant director of admissions and records at the University of Illinois. Underwood died on August 21, 2010.
